Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では,「モジュラー結び目」から新しい仕方で,何らかの位相的不変量から,実二次体などの数論に資する数論的不変量を取り出し,その数論的性質を解明していくこと,また逆に数論的知見から位相的知見を得ることを目的とする.
具体的には,モジュラー結び目と三葉結び目との絡み数以外の不変量を考える,サイクル積分の反復化を考える,いろいろな Fuchs 群について,そのモジュラー形式のフーリエ係数やサイクル積分を考える,など,類体構成問題を念頭に置きつつも,より広い問題意識を持って取り組む.主な道具として, 双曲型アイゼンシュタイン級数や調和マース形式があり,これらを臨機応変に用い,また一般化する.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

代表者は,修士学生藤澤を指導し,実2次体のcaliberの4を法とする合同類に関する以前からの予想の多くを解決すると共に,新たな命題を証明することが出来た.これは論文にまとめ投稿中である.モジュラー形式とは直接に結びついてはいないが,ある種のモジュラー形式のフーリエ係数との関連など,全く期待できないことではないと思われ,引き続きその関連を調べる動機づけとしても,この種の結果は意味があると思われる.分担者松坂が与えた,もともと平野によって与えられていた特別な実二次体に対する数論的Dijkgraaf-Witten不変量の平方剰余記号を用いた明示公式の新しい知見や,素数定理に類するある種の密度公式も,この文脈で捉えなおすことも可能かも知れない.
また松坂は,保型性の崩れた双曲型Eisenstein級数を考察し、s=0へ解析接続後、そのFourier係数としてj関数のサイクル積分を実現した.双曲型Eisenstein級数は保型形式では無いため,通常のサイ クル積分を定義できないが,サイクル積分の一般化である均質化サイクル積分を導入し双曲型Eisenstein級数に適用することで,二つの双曲元の組に対して定まる整数値関数 (双曲Rademacher記号)を構成した.これはDuke-Imamoglu-Tothにより与えられた2つのモジュラー結び目の絡み数と一致する.また,Rademacher記号の相互法則と類似した関係式を用いることで,双曲Rademacher記号の明示公式を与えた.他にも松坂は,偽テータ関数とWRT不変量に関するいくつかの結果を得た.

Reason

j関数のサイクル積分は本研究課題の出発点となった対象であり,そこで予想されている現象の解明を目標として出発した研究が本研究の前身と言える.従って,これを双曲型Eisenstein級数のFourier係数として実現した成果は,一つのマイルストーンとして大きな意味を持つ.またモジュラー結び目の絡み数を双曲Rademacher記号として理解する結果も,研究計画の一端を実現していると言え,計画は概ね順調に進んでいると判断する.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

コロナの影響からほぼ脱したので,対面での研究交流を活発化させながら,モックモジュラー形式,調和マース形式などの関連研究を調べつつ,モジュラー結び目,そして楕円モジュラー j-関数の実二次点での値をキーワードとした研究を引き続き進めていく.いまだ十分には実現したとは言えない,実二次体や不定値二次形式の数論に資する数論的不変量を取り出していくことを昨年度に引き続いて目標として研究を進める. クライン群の保型形式やBianchiモジュラー形式などにまで枠組みを広げられればよいが,そのために専門家による情報提供なども受けていく. caliberについての研究も,余り多くの研究者が取り組んでいない分野でもあり,我々のグループで発展させていかなければならないと考えている.モジュラー関数との関連を見出すべく,関連研究者と議論を進めていく.多重ゼータ値関連の研究も,数理物理を架け橋として繋がる可能性が皆無ではない.本研究に活かせるところは活かし,引き続き推進していく.
