Outline of Research at the Start

戦国大名北条氏の当主・一門衆・主な家臣の発給文書を研究対象として、花押（図案化された自筆の署名）の変遷を検討し、祐筆（書記）の分析をとおして、当主と一門衆との間における外交政策の主導などの問題を明らかにしていく。

Outline of Final Research Achievements

In 2021, although we were unable to conduct a full survey due to the impact of the corona infection, we conducted a survey of Hokongoji in Sakura City, the Eguchi Documents of the Ibaraki Prefectural Museum of History, and the Fukoji Documents of Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture.In 2022, the Niigata Prefectural Museum of History, Gunma Prefecture Kanra Town Museum of History and Folklore, Saitama Prefectural Archives, Iwaki City Okunitama Shrine, Minamisoma City Museum, Tanagura Town Itabashi Residence in Fukushima Prefecture, and the Kanbara Residence in Yokohama City. I did some research.
In addition to having the opportunity to peruse many of the flower stamps, I was able to obtain valuable information. In addition, we conducted a comparative study on the relationship with the Hojo clan's Kaogata and Sengoku period documents. At the same time, we proceeded with the creation of a list of documents issued by the Hojo clan and documents to examine the changes in kao style.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

戦国期の研究においては、現在、戦国大名とは、大名家当主を頂点とした家族・一門衆・家臣を含めた組織・共同体であると理解されている。
また、研究の基本史料である発給文書については、自治体史・史料集に活字化された文書を、あらためて熟覧することにより、新知見を得る必要が求められている。
戦国大名小田原北条氏の研究において、発給文書の詳細な分析は、当主を中心に進められてはいるが、当主の家族である一門衆・家臣の発給文書については、詳細な研究はいまだ十分とはいえない。このため、本研究においては、北条氏の一門衆と家臣の文書の詳細な研究をおこない、北条氏研究および戦国大名研究の基礎的研究の進展を試みる。
