| Outline of Research at the Start |
発達性ディスレクシアの研究知見に基づき，大学生における英語の学習困難と音韻処理の能力の関係を明らかにする。
日本語に必要となる音韻単位（モーラ）は英語（音素）よりも大きいため，日本語で読み困難が認められない場合でも，英語では困難を示す場合があると予想される。音韻意識の個人差を評価することで，個に応じた教育法や教材開発に寄与することを目的として，第一にシラブルへの音韻意識の個人差と英語の読みの関連を検討し，第二にシラブル単位の音韻意識を高めることによる英語の読みへの教育効果を検討する。
