Outline of Research at the Start

核融合炉の材料への熱負荷低減のために，ITERにおいては部分的非接触プラズマを利用したプラズマ制御が導入される。そこでは，熱パルス流入と共堆積層（金属とガスを含む堆積層）形成が共存する複合的なプラズマ材料相互作用が起こることになる。本研究では，核融合炉壁近傍のプラズマ模擬が世界で唯一可能なオランダの直線装置Magnum-PSIで，定常+熱パルスプラズマを利用し，これまで申請者らが取り組んできた部分的非接触プラズマ環境における，①非接触プラズマの時空間分布計測による動的挙動の理解と，②ヘリウム共堆積層の形成とその熱パルス応答に関する研究を，国際共同研究の枠組みのもとで強力に推進する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

タングステン表面にナノテンドリルバンドル(NTBs)を形成した試料を作成しオランダのDIFFER研究所が所有する直線型装置UPPで照射実験を行った。ここで，NTBsは繊維状のナノ構造体の集合体であり，孤立して形成され，数十ミクロンまで成長する構造である。様々なタイプのNTBを有する試料を作製し，電界放出が著しくアーク点弧に有利なNTB先端部でのアーク自然点弧を調べた。その結果、アーク点弧よりも発光を伴うホットスポットの形成が多く観察され，アークは合計7試料中3試料で観察された。この結果から，シースの厚さがNTBのサイズと同等かそれよりも小さく，負バイアス電圧の条件下では，NTBは入射イオンによる集中加熱のために明るい発光を示し，ホットスポットの形成につながったと考えている。そして，水素プラズマ照射後のNTBは著しくアニールされており，NTBが選択的に加熱されホットスポットが形成されたことを示している。同時に，アーク痕が表面で観測されたが，NTB領域からは離れていた。これは，集中的な熱負荷がNTB先端を劣化させ，局所的な電界放出，ひいてはアーク点弧確率を低下させることを示唆した。
また，ダイバータシミュレータMagnum-PSIにおけるヘリウム-水素混合再結合プラズマの分光データから電子温度・電子密度を測定するために，機械学習を用いた線強度比法の検討を行った。複雑なスペクトル形状を持つ混合プラズマを解析するために，各ラインの強度を分離する代わりに、分光データを直接トレーニングに使用した。その結果，ヘリウムと水素の混合プラズマの可視発光から10％以下の誤差精度で温度と密度を推定することに成功し，機械学習アプローチがロバストでシンプルな解析手法を提供できることが示された。

2023年度は集中してオランダに渡航して集中して実験を行った。その結果を解析をし，成果をまとめるプロセスにあり順調に進展している。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

2024年度前半で学会発表や論文投稿を行うとともに，2024年度中にはこれまでの結果をベースに次の実験を計画し実施する予定である。
