Outline of Research at the Start	申請者は、スギ花粉舌下免疫療法への応答性が花粉抗原ペプチドと結合するHLA遺伝子型によって異なることを見出し、これまで困難であった舌下免疫療法の応答性予測を可能にした。また、好酸球性副鼻腔炎の難治性遺伝子型や難治性エンドタイプなども見出している。本国際共同研究では、米国ノースウェスタン大学に滞在し、研究手法を吸収しながら、リソースを活かした研究を行うことで、鼻副鼻腔アレルギー疾患の病態メカニズムを解析し、病態の中心的役割を担う免疫細胞の同定およびその分化誘導・免疫応答機序について明らかにする。これにより、現在治療困難である舌下免疫療法患者や好酸球性副鼻腔炎患者の新規治療法の開発につなげる。
