Research Abstract |
The purpose of our study is to investigate physical properties of molecular cloud cores forming massive stars and star clusters. We first produced an all-sky catalog of dense cloud cores utilizing the 2 Micron All Sky Survey Point Source Catalog (2MASS PSC). Based on the catalog, we carried out molecular line observations toward a number of dense cores accompanied by young infrared clusters to derive their typical molecular mass, hydrogen density, excitation temperature, and velocity dispersion.
