Research Abstract |
The J-PARC TREK experiment has been aimed at a T -violation search by detecting π0 from K+decay using the existing CsI(Tl) calorimeter. In order to use this calorimeter in TREK, reliable operation under high rate environment (~50 kHz) is required. The light detection device was replaced from PIN optical diode to avalanche photo diode (APD). In addition, the output pulse from APD was recorded by a Flash ADC (FADC). As a result, the CsI(Tl) calorimeter has been successfully improved, and it can be used in the TREK experiment.
