Research Abstract |
(μ-η^2:η^2-Peroxo)Cu(II)_2, (μ-1,2-peroxo)Fe(III)_2, bis(μ-oxo)Ni(III)_2, and bis(μ-oxo)Co(III)_2 complexes were prepared using dinucleating ligands. All the complexes except for (μ-oxo)Co(III)_2 complex are capable of initiating the oxidation of aliphatic C-H bonds having BDEsfrom ~80 - ~92 kcal mol^-1 by H-atom abstraction.
