Research Abstract |
We developed a differential solubilization (DS) method to extract low-molecular-weight proteins/peptides containing many peptides bound to carrier proteins such as albumin in serum with good reproducibility and yield. Using the DS method we performed high-quality comparative analyses of more than 1500 peptides from 1μL of serum samples. Furthermore, we optimized the DS method to selectively enrich peptides less than 6 kDa. The modified DS method was combined with LC-MS and Two candidate peptides of renal cell carcinoma were discovered.
