Research Abstract |
To understand the role of non-canonical Wnt including Wnt5a, weinvestigated the phenotype of Wnt5a null mice. The Wnt5a null mice showed severe impairment of skeletal development, especially in cartilage formation. We have attempted to identify the target of Wnt5a, and found that homeobox gene would be involved in Wnt5a-regulated endochondral ossification.
