Research Abstract

Locomotion in our daily life is transferred to steering,elimination of locomotion etc., depending on surroundings. Our aim is to elucidatepathophysiology of gait disturbances in Parkinson’s disease by studying the neuralmechanism of this conversion. Brain activities were successfully recorded from adultMedaka fish during fictive locomotion. We also tried to make an isolated brain-eye-spinalcord preparation using adult Medaka fish as an advanced experimental model. Decline inretinal function still remain to be solved.
