Research Abstract |
We reported that the application of 5 minutes of neck-muscle vibration immediately before occupational therapy may have positive effects on recovering unilateral spatial neglect after stroke. We also confirmed thatrepetitive facilitative exercise, which uses stretch reflex and skin-generated reflexesin addition to patient’s visual concentration and therapist’s auditory command, may be effective to improve upper-limb motor function after stroke. Given this, we developed new system that able to modify sensory stimulus and measure changes in reaction timeduring visually guided reaching task.
