Research Abstract |
SignWriting is a written form of sign languages for daily use, which was devised by Valerie Sutton. We developed SignWriting application software, named JSPad, for Japanese Sign Language (JSL) tohelp various kinds of activities using SignWriting. JSPad allows users to input signs effectively by the JJS-SW conversion input method. We defined a similarity between signs in SW and provided a JSL-Japanese dictionary feature as its application.
