Research Abstract	The present study was designed to examine effect of exercise motivation based on Self-Determination Theory on stages of exercise behavior change inolder adults. Results suggest that exercise motivation based on Self-Determination Theory was effective in exercise behavior change. Accordingly, it may be desirable to change“Extrinsic motivation”and“Amotivation”into“Intrinsic motivation”for promotingexercise behavior change in older adults.
