Research Abstract |
Metabolic syndrome (Mets) is an increasing problem in Japan. The present study suggested that a diet with a low ratio of carbohydrates in energy was beneficial to prevent Mets using the data of 234 Japanese men. Further, a decrease in the carbohydrate intakes improved the abdominal obesity, a fundamental disease of Mets.
