Research Abstract |
By detailed research on the process of formation and canonization of English Romantic texts by Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Thomas De Quincey, it has been reassured that we should find another balanced critical method between two extreme literary criticisms, New Criticism, which treats literary texts just as artworks rejecting every other consideration, on one hand and New Historicism, which reduces everything inliterature to politics despising aesthetics, on the other.
