Outline of Final Research Achievements

1)The texts of Knigge, Kant, Schleiermacher and Lessing were analyzed concerning the motif of sociability in the German Late-Enlightenment.
2)The views on the Non-European world of Lessing ("Rettung des Hier Cardanus" and "Nathan der Weise") and Herder ("Ideen zur Philosophie der Geschichte der Menschheit") were examined.
3)The Lessing-reception by Mori Ogai and the Herder-reception by Tetsro Watsuji were clarified.
