Research Abstract |
The results of this research have shown that a word list for elementary school foreign language activity should include information about the intelligibility of katakana English (English loanwords) and Japanized English words. Such a list should also function as a tool to strengthen the sound-meaning mapping of words to a greater degree as well as to foster connections between word form and meaning.
