Research Abstract |
This research explicates functions of warranty law through the perspective of "market oriented contract law". Warranty law has following three main functions in markets. 1.Risk-sharing functions. 2. Signalling functions. 3. Incentive functions in double-sided moral-hazard situations. These new economic perspectives are fundamentally important to interpret warranty rules with its impact on market transactions.
