Research Abstract

As steps to realize coherent phonon softening originated only fromlattice anharmonicity,We performed mainly two experiments below.First, by a pulse train excitation, we observed large amplitude of coherent phonon withsuppressing multi-photon absorption. This suggests a possibility of phonon softeningkeeping low temperature electron system.In addition, we observed coherent phonon oscillations in CdSe quantum dots which can beregarded as a two-level system
