Research Abstract |
Post-depositional deformation structures in deep-water deposits of the Pleistocene Kazusa Group were described in detail. These structures show not only liquid injection but also gas injection into unconsolidated sand and semi-consolidated mud layers, which can never be explained by usual dewatering processes including sand bed liquefaction.
