Research Abstract |
本研究の主要な結果として(1)3-16GPaの圧力条件下における流体と共存しているペリドタイトとエクロジャイトの研究(2)3-21GPaの圧力条件下におけるアルカリ炭酸塩のソリダスの研究の2つが挙げられる。 (1)3-16GPa、1200-1600℃における流体と共存しているペリドタイトとエクロジャイト相平衡 酸素分圧を制御すらためにMo-MoO2もしくはFe-FeOカプセルを使用し、マルチアンビルプレスで高温高圧実験を行った。試料の融解は回収試料の急冷組織から判断し、流体+ペリドタイトのソリダスを3GPaで1200℃、6GPaで1700℃と決定した。また、流体+エクロジャイトのソリダスを3GPaで1100℃、6GPaで1600℃と決定した。これらはより酸化的な条件下におけるソリダスより300-500℃高い温度である。従って、酸化還元状態の違いによって、流体の組成に影響を及ぼし、ペリドタイトやエクロジャイトのソリダスを変化させることが明らかになった。地球深部において様々な境界が存在しているが、それらにおいて酸化還元状態の違いに起因する溶融が起こることを示唆している。 (2)炭酸塩ペリドタイトとエクロジャイトの相平衡 カリウムまたはナトリウムを含む炭酸塩系のソリダスと相平衡を決定し、アルカリ炭酸塩の安定性とマントル融解に対する影響、炭素輸送に関して議論した。高温高圧実験はマルチアンビルプレスを用いて3-21GPa、750-1400℃の条件下で行われた。ソリダスは3GPaで750℃、6GPaで850℃であったが、10GPaでは1150℃まで上昇した。沈み込み帯の温度分布と比較すると、アルカリ炭酸塩の安定領域が増加したことが明らかになった。また、沈み込んだアルカリ炭酸塩が溶融するのは、マントル遷移層に対応する深さであった、そこで炭酸塩マグマが生成され、上部マントル中を通って地表まで上昇すると考えられる。
