Research Abstract |
Tris[o-(fluorodimethylsilyl)phenyl]germylpotassium was prepared by tcleavage of the Si-Ge bond in the corresponding benzosilagermacyclobutene withKF. Reaction of the germylpotassium with dimethylchlorosilane afforded the dimethylsilylgermane. Reaction of [o-(fluorodimethylsilyl)phenyllithium with a SiCl2-carbene complex provided a novel {[o-(fluorodimethylsilyl)phenyl}chlorosilylene-carbene complex.
