Research Abstract |
Syntheses of biologically active natural products have been studied. The practical synthetic targets are strigolactones, decaturins, and others. Strigolactones are germination stimulants for the seeds of rootparasitic weeds such as Strigaand Orobanche, and decaturins are antiinsectans isolated from Penicilliumsp. Their syntheses may contribute to "plant protection".
