Research Abstract |
By encountering pathogens hostcells induce inflammatory responses and activate immune responseto prevent infection of pathogens. Enterohaemorrhagic or enteropathogenic Escherichia coli (EHEC or EPEC) have ability to reduce these immune response at early stage of infection, and this ability could be important for successful infection. In this study, we identified several virulence factors involving suppression of inflammatory response and regulation of apoptosis in epithelial and immune cells.
