Research Abstract |
To investigate cancer stem cell in human SCC, I first examined the expression of CD133 and smad4 which were considered to be marked on stem cells. Less than 5% of cells were positive for these protein. Next, we tried to perform SP cell isolated from human SCC into nude mouse to evaluate if they had capacity to generate another tumor. However, human SCC cells were rarely grown on immune compromised mise.
