Research Abstract

We examined to elucidate the relationship between normal sleep and general anesthesia focused on the role of cytokine and adenosine in the brain. Thiopental-induced anesthesia time altered according to sleep propensity. Cerebral cortical adenosine can play a role to regulate the electroencephalogram activity during general anesthesia.
