Research Abstract |
Fasudil, a Rho-kinase inhibitor, has been reported to provide neuroprotective effects in several cerebral ischemia models, and we have also reported that fasudil attenuated neuronal injury in a rat transient cerebral ischemia-reperfusion model. We investigated whether fasudil 10 mg/kg provide the neuroprotective effects in a rat transient spinal cord ischemia-reperfusion model in terms of neurologic and histologic outcomes. Fasudil improved the histologic and neurologic outcomes on the 7th day and 14th day after ischemia.
