Research Abstract |
This study showed that slowly released b-FGF enlarges the tracheal lumen and thickens the cartilage dose-dependently. Symptoms of tracheomalacia usually improve with age. Rapid growth of tracheal cartilage inducedby slowly released b-FGF could possibly act as a novel treatment for tracheaomalacia.
