Research Abstract |
Surface modification of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHYMWPE) became possible by plasma treating. We were definitely improving quality of dental materials using the surface treated UHYMWPE. Furthermore, we had developed a coating technology to make UHYMWPE antibacterial activity. The metal and the ceramics applied the coated UHYMWPE showed antibacterial activity.
