Research Abstract |
We conducted a survey and semi-structural interviews to reveal the present condition of mental health problems among nurses, and to assess effective ways to support them. The findings revealed that mental health problems among nurses were a serious issue in hospitals in Japan. We also developed a return to work program for nurses who have been on a long sick leave for mental health issues, two assessment sheets for nurses as well as pamphlet for managers who support nurses who have been on a long sick leave for mental health issues.
