Research Abstract |
A method for studying a gene function with complete control has been tried to develop by combinatorial use of a'zinc finger nuclease'(ZFN), which is a designed, sequence-specific endonuclease that can be customized to cleave a user-chosen DNA target, and recombineering, which is able to engineer large segments of genomic DNA of P[acman] for transgenesis in Drosophila melanogaster.
