Research Abstract |
We have investigated the role of genes encoding the ethanol synthesis during natural and artificial de-astringency in persimmon fruit. We have clarified the cultivar differences in the expression of DkPDC1, 2, and 3 and DkADH1. Moreover, we have gotten transgenic plants introduced with DkADH1 in Hiratanenashi persimmon.
