Research Abstract |
We cannot identify clear difference between angiosperms and gymnosperms in whole-plant respiration including roots from seedlings to giant trees. We concluded that a kind of robustness of whole-plant respiration between angiosperms and gymnosperms may be caused by physicochemical constraints common to the large parts of plants from seedlings to giant trees.
