Research Abstract |
We set up an HPLC separation method for various bile acid conjugates, and characterized each fragmentation of bile acid conjugates by the investigation of product ion patterns on low-energy collision-induced dissociation. Based on their data, we produced focusing methods for bile acid metabolome by conjugated forms using precursor ion scan and neutral loss scan analysis. In addition, we analyzed urine from patients producing metabolic abnormalities of cholesterol, and found to analyze disease-specific bile acid metabolites.
