Research Abstract |
We carried out a genome-wide screen for the genes upregulated by DNA demethylation in human keloid-derived fibroblasts and showed that 25 genes with promoter CpG island were upregulated 16-fold or more. These results suggest epigenetic modification is involed in keloid pathogenesis and could be a new theraputic target for keloid.
