重度難聴者用の新型補聴器の開発のための骨導超音波知覚メカニズムの解明

Research Abstract

重度難聴者でもあっても骨導超音波であれば知覚できる場合がある.申請者らはこの現象を利用した重度難聴者用の新型補聴器(骨導超音波補聴器)の開発に取り組んでいるが,骨導超音波の神経生理メカニズムには未解明な部分が多いヒトを対象とした電気生理計測,心理物理計測,音響物理計測などによって骨導超音波知覚の神経生理メカニズムの解明を図る.2010年度は以下のような研究に取り組んだ.
1.電気生理計測による末梢~脳幹メカニズムの検討
聴覚末梢機能を反映する蝸電図,脳幹~皮質機能を反映する聴性脳幹反応,聴性中間潜時反応の計測を行い,聴覚神経伝導路各部の骨導超音波知覚への関与を評価した.その結果,骨導超音波に対しても,気導可聴音と同様の聴性脳幹反応,聴性中間潜時反応が観察された.また,蝸電図計測では明瞭な蝸牛神経複合活動電位(AP)が観察されたものの,有毛細胞のイオン電流を反映する蝸牛マイクロホン電位(CM),基底膜振動を反映する加重電位(SP)は観察されなかった.骨導超音波知覚にも蝸牛が関与しているものの,蝸牛内で行われている処理には特異性がある可能性が示された.
2.心理物理計測による知覚特性の推定
心理物理計測によって10-35kHzまでの骨導音波刺激によるラウドネス特性を推定した.心理物理計測を実施した.閾値および5dB SLおよび10dB SLの30kHz骨導超音波を基準とした等ラウドネス曲線も13kHz付近から上昇するものの,およそ20 kHzでその上昇が飽和した.各曲線間のレベル差は周波数が高くなるにつれて狭まっており,ダイナミックレンジが小さくなっていることを示唆している.
