Research Abstract

これまでに我々が明らかにした気・液・固(VLS)反応法における酸化物ナノワイヤ結晶成長物理メカニズムに立脚した新規手法を開発した。酸化物VLSナノワイヤ結晶成長において、金属触媒サイズ分布とアドアトム動的挙動を制御することが最も重要な制御因子であることが明らかになっている。そこで、基板上で規定されたサイズ・距離で固定化された金属触媒を実現し、ナノワイヤ径・長さ分布における統計分散を制御し、従来は困難であったナノワイヤ構造の単分散性を得られると考えるに至った。上記"規定されたサイズ・距離で固定化された金属触媒"を実現する為に、大量生産が原理的に可能な触媒ナノプリンティング法を用いた。本手法は、規定されたサイズ・距離を有する鋳型モールドの転写プロセスを介して基板上に金属触媒を固定化する。転写プロセスの耐久性・生産性を勘案し、鋳型モールドはSiマスターモールドから転写されたPDMSレプリカモールドを使用した。基板上に転写された金属触媒を熱処理によって10nm以下のサイズ収縮させ、その均一性を評価した。このように規定された金属触媒を用いて酸化物VLSナノワイヤ形成(MgO,SnO2等)及びヘテロナノワイヤ構造化(MgO/NiO,MgO/Co304,SnO2/TiO2等)を真空蒸着装置を用いて行った。触媒サイズ・触媒間距離が形成されるナノワイヤ径・長さの統計分布に与える影響を定量的に解析した。
