Research Abstract |
In this project, we propose input and output interfaces utilizing metamorphoses of physicalmaterials for connecting the physical world and the digital world seamlessly. Concretely,we have developed (1) input interfaces that can manipulate digital information by variousactions including ``moving’’ or ``pushing’’ or ``pinching’’ our familiar materials such aspaper and (2) substantial displays using expanding and contracting of soap bubbles and airballoons arranged in a 2D array setting. Moreover, we have implemented applications onthese systems and collected users’ feedbacks through exhibitions.
