Research Abstract |
We have generated transgenic mice that genetically label individual cerebellar GABAergic neurons with red fluorescence. Moreover, several lines of clustered Pcdhs deficient mice have been generated and the Pcdh-a & b deficient mice showed motor abnormalities. These experiments support our hypothesis that protocadherins provide molecular codes for neuronal individuality in neural circuit formation.
