Research Abstract

For treatment of spasticity of stroke patients, transcutaneous electrical stimulation is applied to common peroneal nerve. However, identification of stimulus point requires a fair amount of time because it depends on own experience alone. As a result of present study, specific stimulus point became clear. Then, the preparation time of treatment will be expected to reduce. Additionally, to date, an effective stimulus condition is still unclear. Our results revealed the optimal frequency of transcutaneous electrical stimulation.
