Research Abstract |
This research proposes a method to create a bilingual phrasal list using NLP techniques. The similarity of each pair of English and Japanese phrases is calculated based on their frequency distributions in a bilingual corpus to extract bilingual phrasal equivalents automatically. Alist of the extracted bilingual phrases can be expected to be a useful resource for Japanese learners of English.
