Research Abstract |
This research is intended as an investigation of Samurai Ceremony in the Muromachi era. In this study the main stress falls on “Time and Space”, especially, “Zashiki-kazari” (or decoration the ceremony space with Chinese Painting and Standing Flower Arrangement). It offers the key to an understanding of the formation of this culture. Illustration from the House decorations under the situation such as Emperor visit Shogun house, or Shogun called on daimyo's home, or any other guest go to temples are informative. In view of these examples, I consider how entertainment and art, such as Noh play, or Tea Ceremony, are organized and received in Samurai Ceremony's program
