Research Abstract |
We demonstrated that how the patterns of marriage and marital dissolution, and incidence of unintended childbearing are differently experienced across educational groups. While highly educated women live longer in never-married status, less educated women experience longer period in divorced or remarried status. Unlike the US, highly educated women have higher risk of unintended childbirth possibly because of higher opportunity cost of childbearing.
