Research Abstract |
This research aimed at exploring the backgrounds, educational policies and expected educational effects of the school-based management in some East Asian countries, at primary education level. The research also examined how the school-based management in each country may be implemented for making more educational achievements. This research mainly found three challengs. Firstly, each country should consider strengthening the foundations of school management and administration, especially for schools in rural and remote areas. Secondly, school management training to in-service teachers and school principals will be required. Thirdly, continual approach to community people is needed in order for them to understand the necessity of the school-community cooperation.
