Research Abstract |
To efficiently approach non-racemic chiral organosilicon compounds, a novel reactive silane, which can react with nucleophiles in a stereospecific manner, and an oxidative cleavage reaction of C-Si bond with ozone have been developed. These new reactions allow to obtain a silicon congener of a-hydroxy carboxylic acid derivatives, which are difficult to obtain by other methods.
