Research Abstract |
The electrochemical properties of the secondary organic batteries usingphenazine 5,10-dioxide and dithiooxamide derivatives as a cathode active material has been investigated.Phenazine 5,10-dioxide showed a large discharge capacity over 600 Ah/kg at the first cycle, and afterthe first cycle it showed a constant capacity of ~200 Ah/kg on 300 charge/discharge cycles.Dithiooxamide showed a discharge capacity ca. 450 Ah/kg at the first cycle, which corresponded to thetheoretical one. Furthermore, this cell showed a good reversibility, maintaining over 450 Ah/kg during20 cycles.
