Research Abstract |
We developed novel method for controlling near-field optical excitation, using optically rewritable nanostructures of liquid crystals. The local polasmon excitations were observed for metallic nanostructures with liquid crystal molecules on azobenzene thin films. Liquid crystal nanodroplets were generated by using electrospray deposition method, and the optical near-field excitation properties were evaluated.
