Research Abstract |
In order to reduce local thermal deformation on mechanical structures, a design optimization methodology of thermal deformation control mechanisms using thermoelectric devices were developed. Based on governing equations for heat conduction, electric flow and thermal deformation, topology optimization problems were formulated. Then, sensitivity analysis was conducted, and the developed optimal design methodology was implemented as computer program to confirm the effectiveness of the developed methodology.
