Research Abstract |
Photomorphogenesis-related genes, Phytochrome-like gene, Cryptocrome-like gene, VeA gene, and LaeA gene, were identified and characterized in the rice brown spot fungus Bipolaris oryzae. Conidiation-promoting fungus against B. oryzaewas identified. In addition, expression of melanin biosynthesis genes was enhanced by near-ultraviolet irradiation of Corynespora leaf spot fungus Corynespora cassiicola as well as B. oryzae.
